Although audit protection is included in your fees, sadly, audits are sometimes unpreventable which majority of the time don’t always mean there was something done wrong. BUT I will take the appropriate measures to lower all possibilities.

So to answer your question….. Yes, I do assist in audits on taxes filed through MTS.

Audit protection protects clients from the IRS holding their refund until an audit investigation is done.

The IRS is FULLY responsible for processing times and there is NO WAY to determine which order returns are processed

After your taxes have been filed the ONLY UPDATE you’ll receive is on IRS.gov “Where’s My Refund”

There is a routing and account number in your paperwork on your 1040 form that is not your account info. It is the banking information that disperse your refunds. YOUR banking INFORMATION is also in your paperwork. On page 23

Before tax return is filed, I will send over paperwork for you to sign and send back to me.

Your tax return documents will be encrypted for your protection. The password will be emailed separately. Incase you over look it, your password is the (first 4 letters of your last name & the last 4 digits of your social). If for whatever reason you don’t receive your documents please reach out as soon as possible for us to resend.

If you elect to have your funds received by check, you will PERSONALLY be notified when your check is available for pickup which can normally take 1-2 business days. You can also opt in for your check to be mailed to you.

No worries, a check will be printed in office 2-3 business days after refund dispersed.​

If there is an update the IRS will send you a letter in the mail regarding your next steps.

Sometimes State Taxes come before Federal Taxes. Sometimes Federal Taxes come before State Taxes.

-State taxes can take up to 12 weeks. If for whatever reason you don’t receive your state taxes contact the state department of Revenue.

The IRS opens 01/29. You will not be able to check refund status until the IRS opens and return has been processed. If you’re still unable to check it, please allow more time for it to update in the system.
